Candice Swanepoel

At the age of 15 Candice Swanepoel was casually wandering around a Durban flea market. Shortly into her stroll she was approached by a model scout, and 12 months later the South African teenager was earning a minimum of €5,000 per day and a maximum of €40,000. Unsurprisingly the 24-year-old has now gone on to become one of the highest earning models in the world,
a feat recognised by Forbes who last year listed her as 10th in the list of top-earning models. Want to know how much she’s worth? Try a cool $3 million. At least that’s what she earned between 2010 and 2011. It could be more now, we’ll have to wait for the next Forbes list. What is known is that she’s earned her money by being the face and body of some of the biggest brands on the planet, including Nike, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger,
Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, and Versace. She’s also been on the cover of magazines all around the world in countries such as Greece, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Italy, Brazil, Germany, Britain, Romania, Mexico, China, Turkey, Russia, Czech Republic, Argentina, USA and her native South Africa. Lately Candice has become more known for her work for Victoria’s Secret. Not just a pretty face though, Candice has demonstrated she’s got brains too as she is fluent in three languages: English, Afrikaans and Portuguese – the last of which she learned from her Brazilian male model boyfriend, Hermann Nicoli. Sorry folks.
